En el campo también hay héroes

Ellos son los olvidados, los ignorados por el mundo, por la sociedad, y muchas veces por los gobiernos.

Sí, son esos seres humanos que se despiertan cada día a las 5 de la mañana, o tal vez más temprano preparándose para una larga jornada de horas de trabajo.

Son esos héroes que no llevan ni capas ni uniformes, pero que están labrando la tierra, esa tierra donde vivimos y que nunca agradecemos por todo lo que nos da.

Ellos hacen sacrificios al dejar a sus hijos para ir trabajar horas interminables por poco de dinero, para sobrevivir, por qué muchos de ellos emigraron para tener una mejor vida.

Sin embargo, pudiendo tener otras oportunidades, a lo único que se dedican es a trabajar la tierra y ese es su único lenguaje: conocer y conectarse con la tierra y con las plantas.

Ellos se emocionan cuando ven nacer una planta, cuando ven ese fruto crecer, y también disfrutan de algo tan sencillo como una fruta.

Disfrutan de ver la sonrisa de sus hijos al ver que admiran su trabajo.

Esos héroes que cada día viven el abandono de los que no entendemos el proceso que lleva a una semilla a desarrollarse y a transformarse en fruta, verdura, o en una flor, para que llegue a nuestra mesa.

¿Cuántas veces vemos su rostro y sus manos consumidas por el sol y por la tierra?

Con una sonrisa, y aunque el día fue largo, ellos tienen la satisfacción de que el día fue bueno, por que hubo sol o hubo lluvia, y su trabajo tendrá fruto.

 Aunque no sean reconocidos, ellos seguirán siendo héroes del campo, por que aman su trabajo y aman la tierra.

Ellos, los héroes del campo, seguirán alimentando al mundo.

In the fields there are also heroes.

They are the forgotten ones, ignored by the world, by society, and often by governments.

Those heroes who every day experience the abandonment of those who do not understand the process that leads a seed to develop and transform into fruit, vegetables, or a flower so that it reaches our table.

How many times do we see his or her face and hands consumed by the sun and by the earth?

With a smile, and even though the day was long, they have the satisfaction that the day was good because there was sun or rain, and their work will bear fruit.

 Even if they are not recognized, they will still be heroes of the field, because they love their work and they love the land.
